About Jerry T. Miller

Jerry was born in Louisville, raised near Fisherville, and lives in Eastwood. He began his career as a CPA and worked for 31 years in the private sector, most of that time with Humana.
In 2004, he joined Governor Fletcher’s Administration, working with Commerce Secretary Jim Host on issues affecting Louisville, including the new downtown Arena. In 2006, Jerry was appointed Commissioner of Kentucky State Parks.
Elected to Metro Council in 2010, he has been a member of Middletown-area Christian churches for over 30 years. An avid history buff, he enjoys bicycling, hiking, and paddle sports. He lives in Eastwood with Laura, his wife of 38 years. They have a daughter, Jessica, son-in-law Matt, and two-year-old granddaughter Kate.
