District 19 Redistricting Changes

District 19’s population growth soared by 45% in the last ten years according to the latest census data.  Each council office must represent approximately the same number of residents which is about 29,000, therefore District 19 must give up eight out of twenty-nine precincts under the proposed redistricting plan. 

Anchorage and the three precincts bounded by LaGrange Road, Factory Lane and Old Henry Road will be part of District 17 represented by Councilman Glen Stuckel. Two precincts that touch I-64 will be part of District 20 represented by Councilman Stuart Benson.  The following precincts will change:

  • S148, F155, F154, S151, S155, and S159 – will change to District 17 
  • F157 and F126 – will change to District 20
